Do you have dresses in your wardrobe that whenever you look at brings a huge smile on your face? You wore it for a date that went on to be a perfect one. You were told again and again that you were looking absolutely wonderful not just by that one person but even on social media when people start to get back to you stating that they spotted you in that wonderful dress. #BAJAdress

Researchers have found women attach emotions to clothes. We then use the ones that make us feel good as tools to boost our mood.

Lead researcher Dr Alastair Tombs says, "We demand many things from clothing. Quite a few people talked about using clothes to change their mood. If they get up and aren't feeling great, they would put on something that would brighten them up.

A report published in Qualitative Research In Psychology in 2008 found even just thinking of certain items from their wardrobe gave individuals a boost in confidence.

People in the study said when there was an item of clothing they were always complimented on, simply viewing the garment made them feel the buzz of the praise.

"A dress that enhances the body can be valued not only because it makes the wearer feel more confident, but also because remembering the confidence and admiration these garments brought is valued long after it has ceased to be worn," says the report. "Clothing is not only a source of anxiety but also a source of pride and pleasure."

Yes, they are just pieces of fabric, but people feel they love certain clothes because they make them fee in a particular way."

Being a Image consultant ( and designer at BAJA )  I always encourages clients to harness this and wear clothes that make them feel good all the time. My belief is "When you look good, you feel good and you perform at a much higher level in your personal and professional life.”
